This large, detached villa with private swimming pool and enclosed garden was recently totally renovated. It is located in St.Saturnin les Apt, an authentic Provencal village where you can happily spend time ambling amongst the little shops, restaurants and typical Provencal houses and cafes. The house is within walking distance of the village centre, and consists of 2 similar but separate gites, one on the ground floor and one with separate entrance on the first floor. This means that one gite can be hired with room for 8 people, or both together making space for 16.

Within

The house consists of 2 separate gites, one on the ground floor and one on the first floor, each one 120m² with separate entrance. The 2 gites are practically identical and both have a tasteful interior.

Gite 1: Both the living room and kitchen have sliding doors opening onto the garden. The kitchen is joined onto the living room, and is fully equipped including ceramic hob, oven, dishwasher, coffee-maker, blender, toaster, microwave and fridge-freezer. The living room has both central heating and a wood-burner. There is a comfortable seating area and TV and a teak dining table. There are 3 bedrooms, the first bedroom and the second bedroom both have a 1.60 by 1.90cm double bed, and the first bedroom also has a small bathroom with shower. The third bedroom has two bunk beds. There is a separate bathroom with bath/shower and washing machine. There are 2 separate toilets, an iron and ironing board, and a small bed and chair for a child are also available.

Gite 2: The sliding doors from the living room and kitchen open onto the terrace at the front of the house. The kitchen is joined onto the living room, and is fully equipped including ceramic hob, oven, dishwasher, coffee-maker, blender, toaster, microwave and fridge-freezer. The living room has both central heating and an open hearth. There is a comfortable seating area and TV with Dutch channels (Dutch TV features many English language programs with Dutch subtitles) and a teak dining table. There are 3 bedrooms, the first bedroom and the second bedroom both have a 1.60 by 1.90cm double bed, and the first bedroom also has a small bathroom with shower. The third bedroom has one bunk bed and 2 separate beds. There is a separate bathroom with bath/shower and washing machine. There are 2 separate toilets, an iron and ironing board, and a small bed and chair for a child are also available.

Outside

The villa is situated 400m from the heart of St.Saturnin les Apt on grounds of 1200m². The 31.5m² swimming pool is set in a sun terrace with 8 sun-loungers and various parasols. Both gites have a partially covered terrace along the whole side of the house in front of the living room/kitchen, and both terraces have a luxury teak, dining table. The upper terrace has a gate on the steps for child safety. There is plenty of space for parking and the pool is open from May to October.

Tips

St. Saturnin les Apt lies in the regional park of Luberon, 45 km to the east of Avignon and 60 km from Aix-en-Provence. Apt, famous as a jam-making centre and for its typically Provencal Saturday market is only 5 km away. This fabulous region is an excellent starting point for beautiful walks, cycling, mountain biking, and also climbing, hang gliding, water surfing (Apt) and kayak-canoeing (Isle sur la Sorgue). You will find tennis 1 km away, and the nearest golf course is 45 km away. Antique lovers shouldn’t miss the antiques market at Isle sur la Sorgue.

In every directions you will find lovely towns and villages, such as Apt (5km), Avignon (44km), Gargas (6km), Gordes (15km), Manosque (49 km), Rousillon (11km), and Sault (28km). Not to mention Bonnieux, Menerbes, Joucas and Plateau de Vaucluse…and without a doubt you will find plenty to satisfy your taste buds in the many lovely, typical Provencal restaurants in the region.
