When summer seems to be over, Saint-Tropez goes on; the best kept secret of our villa owners

Shall we share a secret with you? For many villa owners, late September to early October is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful times of the year to visit the Côte d’Azur. The busy high season is over, the sea is often still delightful, the terraces are lively but not overcrowded – and Saint-Tropez is fully dedicated to one of the most popular events of the year: Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez.

Sailing races: from classic yachts to ultra-modern boats

From Saturday, September 26 to Sunday, October 4, 2026, classic sailing yachts, impressive maxi yachts, and ultra-modern boats gather in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. Some vessels are over a century old, others are among the fastest and most spectacular yachts in the world. Together, they create an exceptional spectacle on the water and a delightful Mediterranean atmosphere on land.

    Enjoy vibrant Saint-Tropez

During Les Voiles, Saint-Tropez buzzes with energy. By day, admire the regattas from the quay, a beach restaurant, or perhaps even from the sea. In the evening, enjoy the special atmosphere in the charming streets, the harbor, the boutiques, and the restaurants that make Saint-Tropez so beloved. Nightlife enthusiasts will also find plenty to enjoy. It is sophisticated, sporty, and stylish, yet surprisingly relaxed during this period.

The off-season on the Côte d’Azur

Those who choose to stay in a VillaSud villa around the Gulf of Saint-Tropez experience this special event from the front row. From your own villa with a private pool, terrace, and often stunning views over the sea or hills, you combine the magic of Les Voiles with peace, comfort, and privacy.

This is late summer in the South of France at its finest: mild temperatures, fewer crowds, the good life of the South of France, and an iconic sailing event just around the corner. A perfect reason to book that quiet week outside the high season after all.
