From the moment you drive up the lavender-lined driveway, you’ll feel you’ve arrived somewhere special. You enter the villa on the ground floor, with the spacious kitchen-diner to the left and the living area directly beyond it. In the entrance hall, an elegant wrought-iron staircase leads up to the first floor.

The living room is beautifully styled with modern, luxurious seating and a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. The kitchen combines a warm, contemporary country look with excellent equipment, including a large American-style fridge, a Boretti gas hob with electric oven, a dishwasher and a plancha. From the kitchen, you step straight onto the covered terrace with a large dining table, perfect for long lunches and dinners outdoors.

The villa offers 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, spread over two levels. All beds are 120 cms long.

Bedroom 1 is located on the ground floor, on the same level as the living area, and has a double bed (2x90x210). It features an en-suite bathroom with shower, bathtub and large washbasin, plus a separate WC. French doors open onto the garden. The bedroom has air conditioning.

Bedroom 2 is located on the first floor and enjoys a lovely view over the garden and pool. It has a double bed (2x90x210) and an en-suite bathroom with shower and washbasin. The bedroom has air conditioning.

Bedroom 3 is located on the first floor and has a double bed (2x90x210). This bedroom uses the third bathroom with shower and washbasin (shared with Bedroom 4). The bedroom has air conditioning.

Bedroom 4 is located on the first floor and has two single beds (2x90x210). This bedroom uses the third bathroom with shower and washbasin (shared with Bedroom 3). The bedroom has air conditioning.

There is also a separate WC on the first floor.

The garden is particularly well designed. Beautiful borders full of lavender adorn the spacious grounds of 5000 m2. From the living you can walk onto the terrace where you find beautiful seating furniture under the pergola. The kitchen provides access to the covered terrace with a large dining table. A wonderful place for lunch or dinner.

The private pool (10x5m.) is located at a lower level than the villa. Access to the pool can be closed via a fence. On the green lawn around the pool are the beautiful sunbeds. Both from the terrace and from the pool you can enjoy the beautiful view over the green Provencal hills. Here you will certainly relax and enjoy the best of the Luberon.

From the village of Bonnieux you drive to the villa in about 5 minutes. The last part of this drive is at a private driveway where you park the car at private grounds between the beautiful borders full of lavender. There is more than enough space for parking several cars.

In order to experience the Provencal atmosphere, there is also a real Pétanque course next to the pool.

The villa is located a short distance from the charming village of Bonnieux, a quintessential Provençal hilltop village known for its winding lanes, lovely viewpoints and inviting cafés and terraces. Bonnieux makes an excellent base for exploring the Luberon, with several iconic villages nearby that are widely considered among the most beautiful in Provence. Think of ochre-toned Roussillon with its striking “Sentier des Ocres”, picture-perfect Gordes dramatically perched above the valley, elegant Ménerbes with its wine and truffle heritage, and Lacoste, where you can wander past galleries and boutiques and visit the castle ruins.

If you enjoy local markets and authentic Provençal atmosphere, you’ll love this area. Around 30 minutes away is L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, famous for its Sunday morning antiques and brocante market, as well as its canals and waterwheels. The surrounding villages also host regular weekly markets offering regional produce such as goat’s cheese, olive oil, honey, herbs and Luberon wines. Food lovers are equally well catered for, with everything from relaxed bistros and wine bars to refined restaurants—often with terraces set among olive trees and vineyards.

Larger towns and cultural day trips are easy too. Within about an hour you can reach Avignon (Palais des Papes and the famous bridge), Aix-en-Provence (elegant boulevards, fountains and museums), Orange (with its remarkable Roman theatre) and Marseille for a seaside day out, the Vieux-Port and the spectacular Calanques. All are well worth visiting.

The villa also sits in the heart of the Parc naturel régional du Luberon, a stunning landscape of vineyards, lavender fields, cedar forests, limestone cliffs and rolling valleys. It’s a paradise for outdoor activities, with excellent hiking trails, quiet cycling routes and more challenging climbs, as well as opportunities for horse riding and climbing. From many viewpoints you’ll enjoy breathtaking panoramas—especially at sunrise or in the evening, when the light bathes the countryside in warm colours. In short, it’s an area where nature, culture, gastronomy and classic Provençal village life come together effortlessly.

Gordes, Bonnieux and Lourmarin: the Luberon at its best

East of the A7 between Avignon and Aix-en-Provence you can find a unique piece of Provence. The uniqueness lies in the degree of perfection. Rarely do you see a region where ancient villages with their fortified towns and manor houses are being renovated and restored as carefully as in the area of Bonnieux, Lourmarin and Gordes. It almost seems as if every stone is picked up, cleaned and put back. As if each piece of green is cut by hand into the desired shape.
