    Very charming and comfortable villa with private pool in Menerbes, Vaucluse, Provence. At walking distance from the centre of the beautiful village of Menerbes. Quietly situated on large private grounds of 1 hectare. With panoramic views towards the Mont Ventoux. The villa sleeps up to 6 persons and 1 baby.

    The house of traditional country charm is ~200m² spacious and attractively decorated in retro style. The walls are painted in Mediterranean style, in various shades of the local ochre. The lounge with 6m high beam ceilings is centered around a huge open fireplace, in front of which two sofas and antique furniture invite you to relax. A large window provides a panoramic view of the valley with vineyards and mansions. The entire villa will be provided with airconditioning in March of 2026.

    From the living room, a staircase leads you to the mezzanine, which has the atmosphere of an apartment within the house. There is an antique children’s bed (70x140), a bookcase, a small desk, and a chair. In the extension of the mezzanine, there is bedroom no. 3 and an ensuite bathroom with a shower.

    From the hall, you enter the spacious dining room and kitchen area. Here you find a long table with 8 chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped (fridge, stove, electric oven, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker). Several electric tools serve well for preparing good meals. In a separate pantry, there is a second fridge/freezer.

    By the dining room, there is a large, attractive terrace with an olive tree overlooking the valley (umbrella, table and 8 chairs). From here, you have access to a terrasse framed by a bed of lavender, overlooking the valley and another terrasse with table and chairs in the cool of the trees. Wi-Fi (fibreglass) is available throughout the house and accessible on the terraces. A Sonos soundbar allows you to play your preferred music. If you are experienced, you can use a high-end Grotian-Steinweg piano.

    There are 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. All bedrooms are provided with air conditioning. Bedrooms 1 and 2 are located on the ground floor in a separate aisle to the spacious living area.

    Bedroom 1 is the master bedroom. There is a double bed (2x90x200). You can find the TV (the only one in the villa) in a nice antique wardrobe.

    Bedroom 2 is located right next to it. Beds can be arranged either as 2 singles 90x200 or one double, as required. It also has a desk which allows you to work. Both bedrooms on the ground floor are facing the patio. Across the bedrooms, there is one bathroom with a shower and a separate toilet. Next to it, there is a second bathroom with a bathtub, plus an additional toilet, for optimal privacy.

    Bedroom 3 is located on the Mezzanine area. There is double bed 160x200 cm, which can be separated into two single beds 80x200cm. It has an en-suite bathroom with shower and toilet. It boasts a magnificent view.

    Thanks to its construction and location on the flank of the Luberon Hills, which has mild night temperatures in summer, the rest of the house maintains normally agreeable temperatures throughout the summer. The laundry room with Miele washer and dryer is located on the ground floor.

    Situated next to the forest, opposite a vineyard, sheltered from the village, and overlooking the valley from the hillside, the property is peaceful in the middle of nature yet walking distance to the village.

    The house has multiple terraces, and the gardens are carefully designed and well-kept so you can enjoy the sun or relax in the shade. A terrace with lavender behind the dining areas allows for breakfasts and magnificent sunrises while overlooking the valley. The patio terrace (table, bench, 4 chairs) is a good evening alternative. A stone table with 2 benches under protecting trees invites for lunch or drinks in the shade. Directed towards the south and protected against Provençal winds, the patio ensures outside living in early spring and late autumn - it holds the sun and the warmth. The lavender terrace accessed through the dining room is a place to withdraw and escape a cheerful life at the swimming pool. 3 Sunloungers and a side table make this area comfortable.

    The pool is located on the other side of the house within a spacious garden with an old olive tree and an orchard of fruit trees. It is about 20 meters from the house. The pool has a generous size (11×5.5 m) and goes to a depth of 2.75m. The pool works with salt electrolysis and has an alarm system and underwater light for swimming at night. The terrace around the pool is made of travertine stone. On the side, there is a sheltered terrace with a table and chairs for 6 people and an electric BBQ. (No open fire allowed here). There are six sunbeds with cushions and umbrellas. Also, luxurious pool towels are provided.

    At the pool, you have a wide view over the valley. Swimming in the pool you can see the Mont Ventoux in the background through a bed of roses. The garden has many trees, shrubs and flowers (roses, rosemary and lavender). The A bit further away from the pool there is a ‘Jeu de boules' court. Boules are provided. A swing and rope will be fun for your children to enjoy.

    A scenic walk of 6 minutes brings you into the village of Ménerbes. There are two bakeries, a good épicerie, two cafés, one annex presse, and a pharmacy. There are several souvenir shops, art galleries and some restaurants. In the vicinity are several Provence farmers' markets (Coustellet, Apt, Petit Palais on Saturdays and a small one in Ménerbes on Thursdays) where you can buy cheese and delicious fruits and vegetables directly from the land.

    You can taste and buy wine at several vignerons. In Coustellet, Cavaillon and Apt you find great quality supermarkets. Around Ménerbes are many nice villages as Gordes, Roussillon, Goult, Bonnieux, Lacoste, and Lourmarin. A beautiful and attractive part of Provence. Internationally and also in France it is known as an exclusive area. Read Peter Mayle’s “A year in Provence” of see the film “A good year” which was filmed in the vicinity of Ménerbes to prepare.

    For those who are culturally interested, Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, Orange, Arles and Marseilles are close by. L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue has more than 300 antique stores. During the summer there is a lot of culture (like festivals of the Musicales du Luberon in Ménerbes, Avignon, Orange, Aix-en-Provence, Roque-d’Anthéron and Lacoste/SCAD).

    Gordes, Bonnieux and Lourmarin: the Luberon at its best

    East of the A7 between Avignon and Aix-en-Provence you can find a unique piece of Provence. The uniqueness lies in the degree of perfection. Rarely do you see a region where ancient villages with their fortified towns and manor houses are being renovated and restored as carefully as in the area of Bonnieux, Lourmarin and Gordes. It almost seems as if every stone is picked up, cleaned and put back. As if each piece of green is cut by hand into the desired shape.
