La Gardiore

Through the villa's main entrance, you enter a hall with the master bedroom on the right and the living room and open kitchen on the left.  The living room is spacious, bright and contemporary with comfortable furniture.  There is a TV with satellite (NL and BE channels). The total living area is 160m2. WiFi is also available.  

The modern kitchen is fully equipped, including an induction hob and dishwasher, as well as a toaster, kettle, coffee machine, Nespresso machine (please bring your own cups) and fridge. It is nice that you walk straight from this open kitchen onto the covered terrace to the dining table and BBQ.  

The villa offers 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. There are 2 bedrooms on the ground floor and 2 on the 1st floor. 

Bedroom 1 located to the right of the entrance offers a double bed (180x200) and a private bathroom (shower and WC).

Bedroom 2 is located on the other side of the ground floor and offers access to the terrace and swimming pool. It is a nice spacious room with also a double bed (160x215) Private bathroom (WC, shower,). 

On the 1st floor, bedrooms 3 and 4 are next to each other. Bedroom 3 is possibly the children's room, recognisable by the toy figures in the room. There are 2 single beds 90x200. The bathroom is ensuite (bath with WC). Bedroom 4 is a bright room overlooking the river and equipped with a double bed (160x215) and an ensuite bathroom (WC, shower). This room contains the cot.

The villa is located on 7000 m2 of private land, surrounded by Provencal forests. Very special to us is the presence of the little river La Bresquee, bordering the plot. And yes, it is possible to swim in the river. How nice is that? Easy to reach by walking down the garden via several terraces (restanques). Anyway nice to walk around the spacious plot. 

You will of course spend most of your time in and around the pool. The private swimming pool (10x 5 m) is located directly in front of the covered terrace, offering a good view of the pool. By the way, the pool is covered by a hard cover and features Roman steps. The pool is surrounded by a stone terrace from where there are nice panoramic views. Naturally, there are plenty of sun loungers and parasols. There is also an outdoor shower with cold and hot water.

We are charmed by the covered terrace with its large dining table and fixed BBQ. A nice place to enjoy southern French lunch or BBQ. 

There is plenty of space to park several cars.

The cosy centre of Salernes is a short distance from the property. The picturesque town of Lorgues is only a 15-minute drive away. Nice restaurants and, of course, the region's largest weekly market on Tuesdays. 

But also the Gorges de Verdon, Lac de St. Croix, the beach and beautiful golf courses are nearby. From the villa you can go for walks straight away.

In the immediate vicinity there are very good opportunities for hiking or mountain biking. You can also go white-water canoeing on the Argens and there are also beautiful spots for picnics. The coast with Sainte Maxime or St Raphael can be reached within 45 minutes by car. A one-hour drive takes you to Nice or Aix-en-Provence. 

The river on the property comes from the 100m higher village of Silons La Cascade with its waterfall over 40m high. Very nice to go and have a look here.
