    There is a relaxed atmosphere in this no-nonsense restaurant near the old port of St-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. Lots of locals eat here. Delicious and honest food is served, such as a tasty salad with avocado and shrimps or a salad with 'fruits de la mer'. Special cocktails are prepared behind the bar. The price level is below average.

    La Table de Domi - Vence

    The food prepared by (co-)owner Sébastien and his team is of high quality and for a reasonable price. The service is friendly, the food is fresh and the wines are tasty too! The restaurant is more or less hidden in the center of the medieval city of Vence and may not seem very cozy at first glance. But once the terrace is full of guests, there is a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere.

    Sénéquier

    This huge terrace with the bright red roof and this chairs is the most famous terrace of Saint Tropez! Here it is see and be seen. Sénéquier opened in 1935 and has been in the hands of the same family all the time. Film stars, artists and other celebrities are regularly welcomed. So it's no surprise that even a cappuccino is very expensive...

    Restaurant La Voile

Between April and October you are welcome in the afternoon and evening to taste the delicious Mediterranean cuisine. *Note: this restaurant belongs to hotel La Réserve, which is why it cannot be found on Google Maps under the name La Voile.

    Cafe de France

    For years a favourite address for Team VillaSud. Beautiful location in the picturesque Grimaud. Typical French cuisine and very friendly service. Reservations are required.

    Club 55

    This is perhaps the most legendary beach club on the white sandy beach of Pampelonne. The history of this club dates back to 1955 when Madame de Colmont used her little wooden hut to contribute to the culinary wishes of Brigitte Bardot and her film crew while recording Roger Vadim's "... And God Created Woman". Son and also current owner, Patrice de Colmont, now controls this paradisely beautiful beach restaurant with her famous guests. Everyone is treated in the same way and getting a table is a privilege to be earned. The waiters have been working for years and serve delicious Mediterranean dishes. Start for example with a lush basket of crudité, select a bottle of Chateau de Pampelonne rosé and lean back then ... Reservation is necessary.

    Nikki Beach Saint-Tropez

    White linen curtains flutter at Nikki Beach in the warm Mediterranean breeze. Plates full of fresh fish, crab, lobster, sushi and sashimi pass by. At the pool, a DJ plays house music and hip young people dance. Nikki Beach Saint-Tropez exudes new money on all sides: beauty, elegance, class and style. This place is extremely luxurious and of course you pay a high price for it. Children under 18 years old are not allowed in the pool. Don't forget to make a reservation!

    Tahiti Plage

    Plage Tahiti in Ramatuelle is probably the largest beach club in Saint-Tropez on Pampelonne Beach. Many of the big mega yachts dock here to come and have lunch in this animated restaurant. There is a cozy atmosphere and a lot of variety on the menu. The drinks and desserts also look beautiful! It's always busy, so a reservation is required.

    Moorea Beach

    Moorea Beach is a large private beach with luxurious sunbeds. Enjoy the space and order from the excellent menu, which features many tapas-style snacks. Or eat in the associated restaurant, where you can enjoy larger meals. It is also possible to browse the colorful pergola shops. Or to relax in the Moorea wellness area where you can go to the hairdresser or take a massage. Access is by boat, but there is a navette service and it is also possible to drive through the Chemin de Moulins by car.

    Le Pizzaiole

    Pizzeria Le Pizzaiole is located at the port of Cavalaire sur Mer. You eat delicious pizzas cooked in their wood-fired oven. The service is friendly and efficient. The price of the pizzas is reasonable given the location and the quality. The pizzas are available in large or small format. In addition to pizzas, other dishes are also available. Not very nicely decorated, but when the sun is shining and the terrace is full, this isn't really noticeable.

    La Pinède - Cap d'Ail

    This restaurant is beautifully located, right on the waterfront. The restaurant is not very easy to reach but once you get there you will not only enjoy the location but also the tasty meals and good service. Price level above average.

    Fenocchio

    In the old part of Nice you will find the best Italian ice cream on Place Rosetti. Due to its reputation, there is usually a queue, but for real ice cream lovers, the wait is definitely worth it! Choose from more than 90 flavours, from strawberry to chocolate/ginger or even basil ice cream. Tip: go for the lavender flavour!

    Barbarac

    A must go place! If in Saint Tropez enjoy the delicious ice cream from Barbarac on the quay. The ice cream is made fresh by Harry everyday. And always with fair organic ingredients. There is even ice cream light and an 'après-dîner'ice cream for after a night out.

    In the heart of Nice, a short distance from Place Massena is a restaurant where you should definitely eat when you are in Nice. In our eyes a hidden gem! It is an oasis of peace, the daily menus are delicious and the service is friendly. Prices are below average (20 euros for a 3-course menu). If you don't go for the set menu, the menu offers plenty of delicious alternatives, all equally well priced. The environment and beautiful dishes make it definitely worth a visit! It is also easy to reserve a table via the website.

    Excellent restaurant with a cozy outdoor terrace. Very pleasant service and good food. The daily menu is good. In addition, there is a choice from a varied menu. Another important plus: this restaurant is open all year round!

    Les Distilleries Idéales

    Delicious draft beer and good wines in this bar in vieux Nice. This bar may look ancient, but it isn't. The interior is quite special; the decoration exudes 'retro'. There is a busy, pleasant atmosphere. Overall, it's a nice place to grab a drink with a ton of drink options. Happy hour is from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and if you order a delicious, extensive 'planche charcutière ou fromagère', you've eaten right away!

    Le Tono

    This typical French wine bar is probably one of Nice's best kept secrets! A great place to spend an evening relaxing and enjoying jazz sounds or Brazilian bossa nova. The wines are delicious, but it is also possible to enjoy some (vegetarian) tapas or bigger dishes such as salmon and risotto. Le Tono is located at a short distance from the busy avenue Jean Médecin. Definitely worth trying!

    El Merkado

    Tired of French cuisine? Then grab a bite to eat at tapas restaurant El Merkado, located in the heart of old Nice. The interior is a bit funky, but the atmosphere is very cosy! Outside there is a very spacious terrace, in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of the nearby Cours Saleya. At El Merkado they take their tapas, served in small bowls, very seriously. That is why everything is prepared with local and seasonal products. Of course they serve sangria, but it's worth trying one of the many original cocktails. The Don Quichotte, a vodka-based drink, is a real classic!

    Bistrot d'Antoine

    Although the outside of the restaurant looks like many others, inside you will experience that it is different here. We think it's a great place to eat! The overwhelming range of the many delicious dishes is presented on large chalkboards. Many choices of good wines. The prices are fine, even quite low for Nice (approx. 10 euros starter, approx. 15 euros main course). The staff is also very friendly and professional. It is a place known by many for its quality and exceeds the normal bistro quality. For that reason we do recommend making a reservation!

    Les Amoureux

    According to many, Les Amoureux serves the best pizzas in the region. If you want to taste the real Neapolitan pizza, this is the place to be. A real treat is the pizza calzone with ricotta, ham, arugula and Parmesan cheese. It is a small and popular restaurant, every evening fully booked, so reservation (well in advance) is recommended.

    Chez Pipo

    A visit to Nice is not complete without eating socca. If you've never tried this traditional delicacy, check out Chez Pipo! It is a traditional restaurant with a very small menu because it solely revolves around socca. Head off early, otherwise waiting times are long. In the months of July and August they are open every evening, but you can also go there for lunch in the afternoon!

    La Merenda

    A small restaurant (only room for 24 people) in the old town of Nice. The menu is small, but also surprising. All dishes are delicious, prepared with local ingredients, so you taste Nice! Enjoy the zucchini fritters, or their pasta with pesto accompanied with a bottle of white or Red Baron G, you will experience one of most delicious meals of Nice. The chef loves his work. You can see that and you can taste it! It has been a while since we visited this restaurant, but at the time it was not yet possible to pay with a credit card. So keep this in mind! It is also not possible to book by phone, the most convenient way to do this is via the Facebook page.

    Restaurant Alain Llorca

    The restaurant of Alain Llorca (the famous chef who has secured a Michelin star in different establishments) is just a 15-minute drive from Vence. You will enjoy a delicious traditional French cuisine at the highest level. And the beautiful view at the Saint-Paul de Vence is really breathtaking!

    Castel Plage

    Castel Plage beach club is located more towards the port. Here you can dine in a bohemian-chic atmosphere with a beautiful view over the entire Promenade des Anglais. It is also possible to rent sun beds, umbrellas and towels on the pebble beach.

    Plage Beau Rivage

    Plage Beau Rivage is a classic Beach tent with a typical Mediterranean atmosphere; blue-white striped umbrellas and sun beds and nicely set tables. You can sip cocktails, eat tapas and enjoy live music every Friday.

    Le Plongeoir

    Having lunch with a priceless view? Then beautifully situated restaurant Le Plongeoir is definitely worth it! This iconic restaurant is built on top of the old diving tower (at the port) and open all year round. Lunch only! In our opinion, an experience that you should not miss! The food is limited in choice and on the pricey side, but it is of course also possible to just have some drinks in the lounge bar. Because the spots at Le Plongeoir are very popular, we really recommend making a reservation!

    Dining in Avignon?

    Avignon has a wealth of good and cozy restaurants. Avoid Place du Horlogerie; only very touristy plates are served. A really nice place is Place Grillon opposite hotel L'Europe. A small charming square with various restaurants and terraces surrounded by nice streets with original high-level shops, such as Rue Petite Fusterie.

    l’Aile ou la Cuisse

    This bistro with cozy interior and courtyard garden is highly recommended. Nice staff in an atmospheric setting. The wine selection is extensive. Just the excess of desserts is already reason enough to come back here. Please reserve in advance! The address changes per season, look on the website for the current address.

    Le Bel Oustau

    Cozy little restaurant with patio. Small card with quality dishes for a fair price and tasty matching wines. The young service is professional and friendly. Here you'll be happy to come back again.

    Napoleon Saint-Tropez

    It took some searching, but in a small street in the old town we found this excellent restaurant. Very friendly welcome, helpful staff and pleasantly decorated. Local dishes are served; the soufflé vanilla with caramel is a must and a specialty of this restaurant. This also applies to the Black Angus steak. Wine list with good wines. Open every evening from 7:30 PM to 11:00 PM. Highly recommended!

    Le Quai

    Looking for the ultimate party spot in Saint Tropez? Then Le Quai is the right place for you. On Friday and Saturday, around midnight, the tables are pushed aside and a hip DJ starts playing music. There is also almost always a festive performance in between. The atmosphere is sizzling and you can dance here until late into the night. This is the place to be in Saint Tropez, so a spot inside is not guaranteed. That is why we give the tip: eat there earlier in the evening. The kitchen is quite ok and then you already have a table. It is important to make a reservation. Often there is an excellent formula du jour. During the day in St. Tropez? Then we can also recommend this restaurant for lunch. It is the perfect place to people watch and the service is usually very friendly.

And of course the Tarte tropézienne itself, the specialty of which we buy 1 every holiday, especially the variant with raspberries is delicious.

    This typical French cafe has a busy terrace, mainly due to its location on the Place des Lices. Good place to relax after shopping at Le Marché. We sometimes have breakfast there ourselves. Amazingly nice staff.

    If you are shopping in this street, let yourself be pampered on the beautiful terrace in the garden of Dior! It is on the pricey side though.

    Verde Beach

    A lot has changed on the beach at Ramatuelle. Renowned beach tents such as La Plage des Jumeaux have had to make way for newer, more hip beach tents, such as Verde Beach, opened since May 2019. But we have to admit that it looks fantastic and the innovative boho-chic style is definitely atmospheric! This tent is also certainly good culinary, because this new beach tent is part of the Yeeels group. Chef Yannick Plassard, who has worked with Alain Ducasse, offers friendly, warm and high-quality cuisine here. Don't forget to make a reservation!

    Le Local

    In the trendy nightlife area between Place Garibaldi and the port of Nice you will find this charming Italian restaurant with delicious, home-made delicacies. Order an antipasti platter to share and then a delicious pasta with truffle. It is also possible to sit outside, but a bit noisy. Very good value for money, nice service and a good atmosphere. In our opinion one of the best restaurants in Nice.

    La Popote d’Ondine

    Even though we love the French cuisine, sometimes it is nice to be able to order something different than croissants, nicoise salad or a Croque-Monsieur. You can have a delicious breakfast or lunch here. Everything is fresh and you can see that. Tasty juices, smoothies and delicious coffee! Also a good place to eat for vegetarians! The atmosphere is hip, but cozy. There is air conditioning and the service is fine. La Popote d'Ondine is close to the shops on Avenue Jean Médecin, so it's a convenient stop while shopping.

    La Réserve a la Plage

    La Réserve à la Plage is the result of a special collaboration between Michelin chef Michel Reybier and Philippe Starck. Their idea was to restore the original Saint Tropez spirit to the most iconic beach. The end result: a beautifully designed beach restaurant in a bohemian chic atmosphere. There is a lot of variety on the restaurant menu; beautiful cuts of meat, grilled freshly caught fish, fresh local vegetables and delicious pastas. Due to the festive atmosphere at the end of the day - the perfect stop before entering the nightlife of Saint Tropez. But with its bar, restaurant, sun-beds and beach shop, it's also a charming and friendly family spot. Don't forget to make a reservation!

    Mirazur world's best restaurant

    After predecessors such as El Bulli and La Noma, a French restaurant has now been named the best restaurant in the world: Mirazur in Menton! (by 'The World's 50 Best'). Chef Mauro Colagreco, born in Argentina, learned the trade from French star chefs like Bernard Loiseau, Alain Ducasse and Alain Passard. The top chef grows vegetables in his own garden by the sea and gets fresh fish from the harbor. He has been running the Mirazur restaurant for 13 years now, which has 3 Michelin stars.

    Les Graniers

    Les Graniers is a small hidden beach bar. Definitely one of our favourites! The card is not too complicated but of very good quality. At the beach bar there is a public beach where everyone can relax. Perfect place to read a book or take a swim after lunch! You can park the car at the cemetery of Saint-Tropez, after which it is a 10-minute walk to this fantastic beach bar.

    Marius a la Plage

    Located on the east side of Plage Gigaro is the cozy and trendy beach bar Marius a la Plage. The beach tent is simple but very cozy and hip. Tables are placed on the beach, so you can have a delicious lunch with your feet in the sand. In the summer there are often performances by musicians from 19:00. The annual schedule of the performances can be found on the website of Marius a la Plage.

    Le Nautic Beach

    A nice and relaxed beach bar. The red parasols create a cheerful image. Staff is very friendly and in our opinion there is a good price-quality ratio!

    Trendy beach bar on one of the most beautiful beaches: the famous Pampelonne. Here they cook with passion in the style of Ottolenghi. Vegetarians can also enjoy a delicious meal here. Very attractively decorated BOHO and (for Pampelonne) good price/quality.

    Jacquemus La Renaissance

    Very atmospheric French brasserie, in the middle of the Place des Lices. Here you can escape the hustle and bustle of Le Marché and have a delicious lunch under old plates and olive trees. Friendly service!

    Looking for restaurant Mr Caramel? Unfortunately it no longer exists. But in its place is now the new Italian restaurant Senso! We haven't visited yet, but the pizzas and pastas look good. The reviews are also positive. Good prices and a nice terrace. We are curious!

    Koh Pétrie is located in the charming old streets near the harbor and is named after its Dutch owner. Here, you can enjoy refined Asian dishes, from fresh sushi to Thai cuisine, at a reasonable price. Later in the evening, the bar area turns into a lively party spot.
