Collateral warranty for tenants
Our goal is to offer you as a VillaSud customer a happy holiday. We have been doing this since 1999. Meanwhile, we have become a prominent player in the rental of luxury properties. We offer our services over the internet. Therefore, we want to offer our customers the necessary guarantees associated with traveling and all securities that are linked to the use of the Internet.
To allow you a great holiday, the term "controlled quality" is the determining factor for us.
By quality we mean offering luxury accommodations where we ourselves would like to stay during our vacation. The basis of a VillaSud villa is a beautiful interior, good beds and nice showers. Additional factors are the private swimming pool, the location and the view. On top of this, we offer extras such as all the beds made, a filled fridge and personal welcome and guidance during your stay.
By controlled we mean that you as a tenant will not be confronted with surprises on arrival or during your stay. Every villa in our portfolio has been visited by us. During such a first visit, all items in our checklist are carefully checked. For example, it often occurs that we do not wish to include an accommodation offered to us because, in our view, the quality is insufficient.
The quality is monitored during the rental season based on the feedback from our customers. Criteria like on-site service and the cleanliness of the villa are closely monitored in this way. The feedback we receive is shared with the relevant owner. If required, measures are taken to improve quality. If the feedback develops negatively, the villa in question will be visited by us again and, in the absence of improvements, will be removed from our portfolio.
Each photo in the villa-presentations was taken by a VillaSud employee or commissioned by VillaSud. It sometimes happens that a villa is added to our portfolio without a photo report from VillaSud. For example, because taking photos in the fall or winter is not possible. In that case we use the photos that are available from the owner. We then always visit the villa a 2nd or 3rd time in the spring or early summer to take your own photos.
Apart from the above "soft" criteria, we offer you as the Tenant the "hard" collateral below.

1) SGR's Guarantee
VillaSud is a registered participant of SGR. Subscription number 3161. You can verify this on www.sgr.nl. Holidays listed on this website are covered by SGR’s guarantee, within the terms of the guarantee scheme. Under SGR’s guarantee, consumers shall have their prepaid travel sum refunded if their counterparty is unable to fulfill its contractual obligations due to financial inability. To the extent that the agreement includes the transport and the destination has already been reached, the return trip will be arranged.
2) Thuiswinkel Waarborg Certificate
VillaSud is registered as a member of the Dutch Home Shopping Organization ’Thuiswinkel Waarborg’ which is also a member of E-commerce Europe. Thuiswinkel is the association for web shops in the Netherlands and publishes the Thuiswinkel quality mark ‘Thuiswinkel Waarborg’.
