More than 20 years ago, when we had just started with VillaSud, we first met Lodewijk Schröder. After a career in a number of very renowned restaurants in the Netherlands, including the 'Kersentuin', he had just opened his restaurant Le Temps des Cerises in the picturesque provencal village of Fayence.

After years of working with Jon Sistermans, Ron Blaauw and Joop Braakhekke, his dream came true: Patron of his own restaurant in southern France.

A more beautiful place for his restaurant in Provence is hard to imagine. The picturesque terrace under the vineyard, in the middle of Fayence, is truly beautiful! Lodewijks restaurant is now a household name, even the French (they call it Louis) like to eat in Le Temps de Cerises because of the atmospheric ambiance and the good food made with honest products. Don't forget to make a reservation!
